Regional Studies Association (RSA) is the global and interdisciplinary forum for city and regional research, development, and policy. With members currently is 71 countries and global networks of 20,000+ academics, policymakers and practitioners, the RSA works with its international and interdisciplinary membership to facilitate the highest standards of theoretical development, empirical analysis and policy debate of issues at this sub-national scale, incorporating both the urban and rural and different conceptions of space such as city-regions and interstitial spaces.

The Association’s five academic journals (Regional Studies; Spatial Economic Analysis; Territory, Politics, Governance; Regional Studies, Regional Science; and Area Development and Policy), Regions magazine, Blog and book series, along with its global-to-local series of conferences and events position the RSA as a key forum in shaping and disseminating advances in regional studies and science.
